This was once a big tumble of word sort files but we have organised it a bit as we have made more resources. We hope that the folder and file names will enable you to find sorts to match your curriculum, whichever one you follow.

Each file contains a word sort activity. Instructions for teaching and a reminder of the spelling rule or pattern are included on a strip at the top of the sheet that can be cut off or folded over when photocopying for pupils.

There are loads more word sort activities on our Pinterest page, though they are not sorted into year group specific activities. Some of them need watching as they were not created for the UK curriculum and may therefore have US or AU spellings.
